Appraisals

At Chorey & Associates, we have two licensed fee appraisers who offer valuation services in Suffolk and the surrounding areas. We have strong knowledge of the local real estate market, giving us confidence in our ability to produce a realistic, unbiased opinion of value for properties we appraise. Our current and past appraisal clients include lending institutions, law offices, private clients, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and more. Our fees are competitive, and we consistently have favorable turnaround time for our appraisals.

 

Billy Chorey, Sr. is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser (#4001000653) with over 30 years of real estate appraisal experience. He has served on the Veterans Administration fee appraisal panel since 1985 and also appraises for conventional loans. Through the years, he has taught real estate and appraisal courses at local community colleges in the Suffolk area. Billy is a Residential Accredited Appraiser (RAA) as designated by the National Association of Realtors. He is also a graduate of the Realtors Institute of America (GRI) and holds the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. Graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce, Billy also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.

 

Lauren Chorey is a State Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser (#4001015198) and Realtor with 7 years of real estate experience in Hampton Roads, including 3 years of appraisal experience. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she graduated with a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia in 2004. She holds a GreenValuation Specialist (GVS) designation for appraising energy-efficient properties.
