Robert Askew knows Suffolk and the surrounding counties of Isle of Wight, Smithfield, and the Tidewater area. He is licensed in both Virginia and North Carolina. Robert has been the recipient of Circle of Excellence awards consistently from 2016-2019. Before entering the real estate field, he was the owner and President of R. W. Askew Nurseries in Suffolk. After attending North Carolina Wesleyan and Old Dominion, Robert began working in the family business in Suffolk as a wholesale nursery grower and commercial contractor.

For decades he was an active member of the Tidewater Builders Associations and won numerous Best in Show awards for New home construction as well as working alongside developers in communities such as Pitchkettle Farms in Suffolk, Port Warwick in Newport News and Governor’s Land in James City County.
